A recent PR photography job (commissioned by Polaris Media Management) took me to the UK Headquarters for Hero Global Design. Indian owned 'Hero Cycles', is one of the world’s biggest manufacturers of bicycles, and they've put down roots in Manchester with the introduction of their global design center.
It was here that I was asked to capture some PR images for their exciting new electric bike. Here are a few example shots that they'll be using to promote their new products to the trade press.
Quite often this type of work the time constraints don't lend themselves to a full studio style set up, so I go in light with a couple of 'off-camera' flashguns, a shoot through brolly and some Honal light modifiers. It's a bit run and gun, but given the time available and end usage, enough. It's a bit frustrating that there's no need for more than this, but that's the game with these photoshoots 'in & out' and move on.
