Kier Construction - Stockroom Project

hello world!

Just days before the grand opening of Stockroom — Stockport’s newest cultural destination — I had the privilege of capturing its transformation through photography, commissioned by Kier Construction.

Photographed as part of a regeneration project delivered for Stockport Council, the images document the completion of this dynamic new community hub in the heart of Stockport City Centre.

Stockroom is a striking £14.5 million cultural and creative centre, forming a key part of Stockport’s wider £1 billion transformation. It brings new life to formerly disused retail units within Merseyway Shopping Centre, and my photographs aimed to reflect both the scale and spirit of that renewal. The interior reimagination of the space provides residents with brand new facilities that will enhance the Greater Manchester area.

As a centrepiece of the Council’s award-winning regeneration programme, Stockroom represents a powerful visual story of investment in culture, opportunity, and inclusive growth — a narrative I was proud to portray through my lens.

The completed space — now home to a town library, café bar, town archives, events space, and a children’s creative learning area — offers a vibrant scene that I was honoured to photograph for Kier Construction.
