Client: Sodexo UK & Ireland FM Divison

We were commissioned by Sodexo’s UK Facilities Management division to produce a new set of images at the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) Headquarters in Glasgow, supporting fresh marketing and tender materials for the account.

SFRS HQ is a striking building, all glass, steel and open atrium, with the “We Are SFRS” branding running the full height of the entrance hall. Our brief was to capture the scale of the site alongside the people and technology that keep it running day to day, images that could work equally hard on a tender document, a website, or a social feed.

The main challenge was working around a live public sector site. Staff, visitors and the day-to-day business of the fire and rescue service don’t stop for a photoshoot, so we planned our shot list around quieter windows and coordinated closely with the on-site team to make the most of every space without getting under anyone’s feet.

The result is a strong, versatile image bank for Sodexo covering robotic cleaning technology, workplace experience and people and culture content, ready to support new business pitches across their wider FM division, well beyond this one site. Take a look at more of our commercial photography case studies to see how we’ve helped other clients tell their story.

We spent the day following Sodexo’s on-site team through their everyday tasks, from cleaning and hospitality through to workplace support. One of the standout shots came courtesy of the LionsBot autonomous floor scrubber, photographed working alongside the team supervisor as she reviewed the day’s schedule on a tablet. It’s a great example of how Sodexo blends robotics with hands-on service delivery, technology and people working side by side rather than one replacing the other.

Elsewhere we captured the workplace experience side of the contract: a colleague working from one of the building’s informal breakout spaces, laptop open, mid-conversation, showing the softer, people-focused end of facilities management that often gets overlooked in favour of mops and machinery.

Throughout the day we made a point of keeping people at the centre of every shot. Genuine smiles, real interactions, and a visible sense of pride in the work. That human element is what brings tender documents and marketing decks to life, helping prospective clients and stakeholders see the calibre of team they’d actually be working with, not just a service they’d be buying.

Results: Some of the images are already being used on Sodexo's website as can be seen in the screenshot below.
